Chlorine generator "Energochlor"
Energochlor is a modular mini-plant for the production of oxidants, it allows you to get two products from a sodium chloride solution on site — chlorine and caustic soda.

Chlorine is a yellow-green gas with a suffocating odor.

Due to the fact that the solution of oxidants is produced directly at the point of consumption, it additionally contains a small amount of chlorine dioxide and ozone, due to which biofilms are effectively removed, and chlorination by-products in water (chloroform, etc.) are not formed.

The second product is a caustic soda solution, which can be effectively used in coagulation processes at the initial stage of water preparation. A solution of caustic soda can also be used to clean tanks from oil residues.

For the operation of the "Energochlor" installation, it is necessary to have table salt in the amount of 2−3 kg per 1 kg of oxidants produced and electricity at the rate of 2−3 kWh per 1 kg of oxidants.

The composition of the mixture of oxidants — chlorine (95%), chlorine dioxide (3−4%), ozone (1−2%) — in the form of an aqueous solution of oxidants with a concentration of 1 — 2 g / l (analogue of chlorine water formed in chlorinated chlorine into water).

Production of a mixture of gaseous oxidants directly at waterworks. Principle of operation: electrochemical synthesis of a gaseous mixture of oxidants (chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone) from an aqueous solution of sodium chloride with a concentration of 200 — 300 g / l in anode chambers of diaphragm modular electrochemical reactors.
An ozone generator is a device that facilitates the creation of ozone from ambient oxygen (or oxygen-rich air and mixtures of nitrogen and oxygen) through the application of an electric discharge (Source: GOST R 51 706−2001: Ozone apparatus. Safety regulations).

"VGP-ST" LLC produces barrier-type ozonizers. Its operational principle relies on the formation of a barrier discharge between two substances with varying electrical conductivity.
Ozone is a blue gas with a pungent characteristic odor. The ozone molecule is made up of three oxygen atoms. Ozone is not stable, under normal conditions the half-life is 30−40 minutes.

Ozone is widely used in the field of water purification, since it is a powerful oxidizing agent and it is able to oxidize organic compounds with their subsequent destruction and transfer from a dissolved state to insoluble suspended matter, which are easily captured by the filter. Ozone also oxidizes metal ions such as iron, manganese, chromium, copper, etc. The use of ozone in water treatment does not lead to the formation of toxic compounds in water and, due to its high oxidizing ability, allows water clarification. In some cases, ozone decomposes with the formation of atomic oxygen and initiates chain oxidation.

Ozone can be used at waste processing plants or to remove odors from car interiors, clothing, footwear, as well as at factories and warehouses for food products, resuscitation, pharmaceuticals, etc.
Fields for ozone application:
  • Water treatment
  • Disinfection of containers
  • Air purification and disinfection
  • Sterilization
  • Food processing (extending the shelf life)
  • Ozone therapy (treatment of skin diseases)
  • Whitening of fabric and leather
  • Air deodorization
  • Air disinfection
A chlorine generation unit is a device in which the chlorine synthesis process takes place. Our company offers "Energochlor" series chlorine generators based on the diaphragm electrolysis method.

VGP-ST LLC is an engineering company, which allows us to provide comprehensive solutions to the challenges facing your enterprise. We can not only manufacture an "Energochlor" chlorine generator with the required capacity, but also integrate it into your enterprise’s production process.
Benefits of the 'Energochlor' System:
  • Does not require transportation and storage of hazardous chemicals (liquid chlorine)
  • Works at lower doses
  • The consumption of salt and electricity is minimized
  • Does not lead to the creation of trihalomethanes (which encourage the development of cancerous cells)
  • The amount of oxidants is produced in exact amount that is required at the moment
  • Effective oxidant and disinfectant for all types of microorganisms including cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia) and viruses
  • Helps to remove iron and magnesium from water through their rapid oxidation and precipitation of oxides
  • Does not form bromates and organobromine by-products of disinfection in the presence of bromides
  • Systems are secure, as a solution of oxidants is not kept but generated directly within the system and is promptly utilized for water purification
  • Easy to integrate into existing chlorination rooms
  • Helps remove turbidity from water
  • The effectiveness of water purification is enhanced by the presence of chlorine, chlorine dioxide, and ozone oxidizing agents in the solution
  • Establishing a buffer area around the chlorination facility and chlorine storage is not necessary
  • The facility produces two outputs rather than a single one (along with the oxidant solution — a caustic soda solution)
  • Does not form chloramines, which can damage red blood cells in dialyzers. Produces nitrogen-containing by-products
  • Eliminates phenols, which are a cause of undesirable flavor and smell
