Ozone generator is an installation in which the process of ozone synthesis from atmospheric oxygen (or oxygen-enriched air and nitrogen-oxygen mixtures) is carried out under the influence of an electric discharge (Source: GOST R 51706-2001: Ozone equipment. Safety requirements).

"VGP-SpecTech" LLC manufactures barrier type ozonizers. The principle of operation is based on the occurrence of a barrier discharge between two materials with different electrical conductivity.

The unit body is made of stainless steel. Handles are attached to the upper part of the body for easy carrying. The plant has air cooling and two reactors with a capacity of 12.5 g / h each. The ozone generator has a built-in air pump that is not designed to supply pressurized ozone.

Attention! To supply ozone under pressure, a compressor with a dryer must be connected to the ozone generator.

    Ozone
    Ozone is a blue gas with a pungent characteristic odor. The ozone molecule is made up of three oxygen atoms. Ozone is not stable, under normal conditions the half-life is 30-40 minutes.

    Ozone is widely used in the field of water purification, since it is a powerful oxidizing agent and it is able to oxidize organic compounds with their subsequent destruction and transfer from a dissolved state to insoluble suspended matter, which are easily captured by the filter. Ozone also oxidizes metal ions such as iron, manganese, chromium, copper, etc. The use of ozone in water treatment does not lead to the formation of toxic compounds in water and, due to its high oxidizing ability, allows water clarification. In some cases, ozone decomposes with the formation of atomic oxygen and initiates chain oxidation.

    Energochlor is a modular mini-plant for the production of oxidants, it allows you to get two products from a sodium chloride solution on site - chlorine and caustic soda.

    Chlorine is a yellow-green gas with a suffocating odor.

    Due to the fact that the solution of oxidants is produced directly at the point of consumption, it additionally contains a small amount of chlorine dioxide and ozone, due to which biofilms are effectively removed, and chlorination by-products in water (chloroform, etc.) are not formed.

    The second product is a caustic soda solution, which can be effectively used in coagulation processes at the initial stage of water preparation. A solution of caustic soda can also be used to clean tanks from oil residues.

    For the operation of the "Energochlor" installation, it is necessary to have table salt in the amount of 2-3 kg per 1 kg of oxidants produced and electricity at the rate of 2-3 kWh per 1 kg of oxidants.

    The composition of the mixture of oxidants - chlorine (95%), chlorine dioxide (3-4%), ozone (1-2%) - in the form of an aqueous solution of oxidants with a concentration of 1 - 2 g / l (analogue of chlorine water formed in chlorinated chlorine into water).

    Production of a mixture of gaseous oxidants directly at waterworks. Principle of operation: electrochemical synthesis of a gaseous mixture of oxidants (chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone) from an aqueous solution of sodium chloride with a concentration of 200 - 300 g / l in anode chambers of diaphragm modular electrochemical reactors.
